Network Rail has confirmed that 2010/2011 train delay minutes were 7.4 million by comparison with 13.72 million in 2003/2004*. Ensuring rail infrastructure is truly fit-for-purpose is a vital element here and at this year’s Infrarail Exhibition, HENKEL will be demonstrating how its product ranges are contributing to the improving performance.

HENKEL provides an extensive range of engineering adhesives, sealants and coatings for the rail industry through its Loctite and Teroson brands. These products, which can be used for track maintenance and repair and within rail depots, include threadlocking, threadsealing and retaining anaerobics, gasketing compounds, instant adhesives, structural adhesives and cleaners.

Of special interest at the show will be Terostat 6700 a polyurethane-based two component adhesive that cures very rapidly and can be used for the repair of damaged end posts. This product is available as an IRJ kit containing all the products required to carry out the repair and get the track back in use in minutes.

Another product, Cerosit CF900, is proving highly effective as a method of replacing damaged Pandrol housings into concrete sleepers ready for fitting the Pandrol clips.

Infrarail 2012 visitors are invited to discuss their specific needs with HENKEL PTS certified engineers and to collect the HENKEL rail literature which details a dedicated range of products, with Rail CAT numbers, for use on infrastructure and rolling stock.
