Successful ExCeL debut for Infrarail and CITE 2016
With unprecedented levels of rail investment and the rise of national infrastructure up the political agenda, there was an upbeat mood at the Infrarail 2016 exhibition of railway infrastructure products and services and at CITE 2016, covering the civil infrastructure sector, which successfully took place together at ExCeL London in the capital’s Docklands from 12 to 14 April.
The total number of attendees at the combined event was 6,596 – virtually the same as the figure for the two shows in 2014, when Earls Court was the host venue. They comprised 5,293 visiting managers, engineers and industry professionals and 1,303 exhibitors’ personnel. Visitors came from 51 countries, underlining strong international interest in both Infrarail and CITE – and in the markets they serve.

Infrarail Boosted By Infrastructure Plans
The timing of next year’s Infrarail 2016 exhibition coincides well with a strengthening focus by the UK government on the long-term development of the country’s national infrastructure. Taking place at ExCeL London in the capital’s Docklands from 12 to 14 April 2016, Infrarail will showcase the full rangeofsystems, equipment and skills needed to create, operate and maintain the fixed assets of main line and urban railway networks.

Dates and venue confirmed for next Infrarail show
The next edition of Infrarail, the UK’s showcase for railway infrastructure equipment, products and services, will take place at the ExCeL exhibition centre in London’s Docklands from 12 to 14 April 2016. Infrarail 2016 will be co-located with CITE - Civil Infrastructure Technology & Equipment 2016 to create the UK’s largest exhibition next year of products and services for the busy transport and civil infrastructure sectors.

Big increase in visitor numbers at busiest-ever Infrarail
The Infrarail 2014 rail infrastructure technology exhibition in London was the busiest ever. The number of industry managers, engineers and decision makers visiting the show increased by 13% compared to the figure recorded at the previous Infrarail in 2012.
