ERCI is the leading meta-cluster of the railway industry in Europe uniting 14 innovation clusters from 16 European countries (Italy, Poland, France, United Kingdom, Spain, Turkey, Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Germany) .
Together, we connect the ideas and interests of over 2,000 small and medium-sized businesses in the industry. ERCI is their voice and lobby at European level. Network Rail - Signalling Innovations Group
Network Rail’s Signalling Innovations Group develops and delivers new tools, methods, techniques and processes that will reduce the cost and timescales of renewing and upgrading signalling systems, and supports projects in the introduction of new signalling and other products.
As well as signalling, SIG is involved in technical innovations across Network Rail, from the Digital Railway to telecommunications and electrification, while tools and methods that started out from a signalling need are now utilised across a range of disciplines.
Permanent Way Institution
The Permanent Way Institution is a not for profit organisation for all engineers involved with track and infrastructure. With a wealth of knowledge within their membership, their focus is to encourage the sharing of best practice between infrastructure staff at all levels and stages of their career. This initiative is being actively supported by key players in the rail industry.

Railway Industry Association
The Railway Industry Association is the trade association for UK-based suppliers to the railway industry, providing a range of services to its members who include manufacturers, maintainers, contractors, consultants, leasing companies and providers of specialist services. RIA is the focal point of engagement between suppliers, clients, government and industry stakeholders and is an active part of the Rail Supply Group. Key activities include representation, information services, networking, innovation, exports support and supply chain improvements. RIA also provides assistance to overseas railways seeking UK suppliers.
